Deaf Women in Literature Resource Guide Available

Professor Michael Strahan created a digital resource guide containing e-books about and by deaf women.

Professor Michael Strahan created a digital resource guide in honor of Women's History Month. This guide has a compiled list of e-books that highlight the stories of deaf women throughout history.

Some of the e-books focus on deaf women throughout history, dating back to 1936, whereas others are more recent accounts, the most recent being published in 2019.

Some of the other materials included in the resource guide are, Shall I Say a Kiss? The Courtship Letters of a Deaf CoupleAmy Signs: A Mother, Her Deaf Daughter, and Their Stories, On the beat of truth: a hearing daughter's stories of her black deaf parents, and many more.

To access these materials, go to the "E-books about/by women that are D/deaf" tab, and to learn more about the Deaf Studies program, please visit: Resource Guide
