Get to Know Mike Strahan

Meet Your Reference Librarian.

Need sources for a project? Looking for "stuff"? Want citation help?
Visit Professor Michael "Mike" Strahan, one of the Lydia M. Olson Library's full-time reference liaisons to aid you in your research.

In his professional work, Professor Strahan is passionate about teaching students in all of his library liaison areas, including Deaf Studies, Education, Nursing, and the School of Clinical Sciences (Clinical Laboratory Science, Clinical Molecular Diagnostics, Radiography, Speech-Language-Hearing, & Surgical Technology). Besides one of the reference librarians, he is also the Distance Library Services Coordinator, and is the library liaison to the College of Graduate Studies and Research.

Working as the Library's APA style expert for 32 years, Professor Strahan loves teaching students how to research topics and cite their sources. A question he is asked most often is, "How do I reference this work using APA style?"

Outside of work, Professor Strahan enjoys watching the variety of wildlife visiting his home every day, and taking care of his exotic pets.
