Give a Coat, or Get a Coat

Donate any unused winter gear!

The Dean of Students has the "Give a Coat, or Get a Coat" program run by Haley Rhoades for students who need proper winter gear. Much of the coats, gloves, hats, and scarves are gently used or purchased with funding. This charitable program, started over 5 years ago, was made for people who need coats for cold UP weather and don't have the resources to purchase appropriate winter wear.
To donate any unused gear for students in need, simply drop it off in the Dean of Students office. Larger sizes, men's coats, and gender-neutral coats are needed the most.
If you are in need of appropriate winter wear, the clothing is available in the Hedgecock building (near the Dean of Students office). Clothing is also available in the food panty, located in 101B Gries Hall (above the Health Center).
If there is not a coat on the racks appropriate for sizing or warmth needs, contact the Dean of Students office -- they have resources to buy a coat based on your needs.
