Michigan eLibrary announces changes to media loan periods and number of requests allowed.
MeL media loan periods have been extended from 7 days to 14 days. Book loan periods have been extended from 3 weeks to 28 days with the option for a single 28-day renewal.
In addition, in January 2019, NMU entered a pilot program with MeLCat to help you keep material throughout an entire semester. All 15 public universities in Michigan are participating. If you borrow MeL material from another public university, your loan is 90 days with the option for a single 30-day renewal.
The extended loan periods do not apply to media loans.
If you are a MeL "super user," you may have noticed that your requests have previously been capped at 50. That number has now been increased to 70.
