Emera Bridger Wilson, a librarian at Northern Michigan University's Lydia Olson Library, earned a spot in the esteemed American Library Association's (ALA) Emerging Leaders Program for 2024, an honor bestowed upon only 50 early-career librarians annually. Her acceptance reflects her dedication to enhancing library services and fostering diversity within the profession. Wilson's excitement stems from her aspiration to contribute innovative ideas to NMU's Olson Library after its renovation, leveraging this program to gain insights and network with peers nationwide.

The American Library Association's (ALA) Emerging Leaders Program is an honor bestowed upon only 50 early-career librarians annually.

As a collection management librarian, Bridger Wilson ensures NMU's collection aligns with the curriculum, promotes diversity, and meets faculty and graduate researchers' needs. Beyond this role, she serves as a liaison librarian for various departments and spearheads initiatives like the Open Educational Resources program, striving to enhance textbook affordability and promote open education resources across the campus.
