The index in each Directory helps to match the characteristics of the manuscript to the topic areas the journal emphasizes. The directory also includes information on the journals' acceptance rates, publication guidelines, number of copies required, types of review process, the number of internal and external reviewers, time required for review and availability of reviewers' comments.

  • Demographic Yearbook   Online Database

    The United Nations Demographic Yearbook collects, compiles and disseminates official statistics on a wide range of topics. Data have been collected from national statistical authorities since 1948 through a set of questionnaires dispatched to over 230 national statistical offices. The Demographic Yearbook disseminates statistics on population size and composition, births, deaths, marriage and divorce on an annual basis.

  • Published by the American Psychiatric Association, this classification and diagnostic tool is the authority in the United States for psychiatric diasnosis. NMU's premium subscription also includes access to the DSM-IV-TR and its Handbook of Differential Diagnosis as well as the Cases from DSM-IV-TR. A paper copy of the DSM-5 can also be found in the Olson Library Reference Collection (Call No. RC455.2.C4 D54).
