New eResource: Michigan History Magazine

We’re excited to share a new subscription offering, Michigan History magazine! Published by the Historical Society of Michigan, Michigan History is geared toward professionals and enthusiasts alike. Read about our state’s diverse history through feature articles and special sections. A wide variety of subject matter, time frames and perspectives are offered while inspiring, educating and entertaining readers. Coverage runs from January 1, 1998 through May 1, 2019.

An example of Michigan History's content is a 2016 article by Tyler R. Tichelaar explaining the history of Marquette's Dandelion Cottage, titled "The story behind the story of Dandelion Cottage."

This new subscription offering is brought to us by MeLCat (Michigan eLibrary Catalog). You may access the Michigan History magazine through mel.org. NMU students, faculty and staff can utilize MeLCat resources for free as part of the library's offerings. MeLCat can be used to request physical material as a loan from other Michigan libraries and access to electronic resources.
